What Am I Using?
Privacy & cookies
Last updated: 15 October 2026. The operator of this site is Innobella Media Limited, Liverpool, UK.
Current setup: With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google advertising and advertising tracking are not currently enabled.
The checker and support report
Browser and screen information is processed in your browser to display the results. The support report is assembled locally. Copying or downloading it does not upload or email the report to us. Your IP is excluded from the report unless you choose to include it.
Other utility inputs and files
QR generation, encoders, text scrambling, timestamp conversion, random numbers, hashing, beep-test timing and cube solving run locally in your browser. Text, Wi-Fi credentials, contact-card data, hash files and uploaded QR logos are not uploaded to us or our analytics. Copying or downloading a result is a local action. QR contents can include passwords or contact details, so consider who will receive a downloaded code.
Beep tests and cube solving
Beep-test settings and confirmed results stay in your browser; sound is generated locally. The app may request permission to keep your screen awake during a run. Cube colours and move sequences are processed on your device. A larger solver module downloads from this website when needed; your entered cube is not uploaded. Cancelling a search terminates its local worker. The cube solver offers an optional camera scanner. It asks for camera access only after you press Start camera and never requests a microphone. Video frames are analysed locally to suggest sticker colours; they are not uploaded, saved by this tool or included in analytics. Captured images are held temporarily in memory and cleared when the camera window closes. Confirmed sticker colours remain in the current page until you reset or leave. Camera tracks stop when you close the camera, stop it, hide the page or leave it. Recognition can be wrong: review every sticker before solving.
Public domain lookups
When you submit a domain, our server sends that domain and selected record types to Google Public DNS, and for .com or .net sends the domain to Verisign’s RDAP service. Your individual visitor IP is not forwarded to these providers. Public responses are cached in bounded server memory for up to ten minutes; this is not a saved history of your searches. Lookup requests are not written to application logs. Hosting access logs are not enabled in the proposed configuration. Providers process their requests under their own terms: Google Public DNS privacy and Verisign RDAP terms. Following an official lookup link takes you to that provider’s website.
Sharing and bookmarks
The share control passes only the page address and title to your device’s share feature, or copies the page address. It excludes tool inputs and results. The app or recipient you choose then handles the link under its own policies. The favourites control shows instructions; your browser stores any bookmark you create.
Delivering the website
Our hosting services receive connection information such as your public IP, user agent and requested page to deliver and protect the site. The IP-check endpoint returns the address it sees for your request. AWS provides the hosting infrastructure and IP-based estimates of city, region, country and network number. To display a registered network name, the server looks up that network number through RIPEstat; it does not send your individual IP address to RIPEstat.
Weather near your estimated location
The server requests a forecast from MET Norway using rounded coordinates for the area estimated from your IP. It does not send your individual IP address to MET Norway or request your device’s GPS position. Forecast responses are cached by geographic area in AWS CloudFront for up to an hour; no visitor weather database is created. The weather may describe your VPN’s server location rather than where you are.
Cookies and saved preferences
Cookies and similar technologies, including local storage, can remember settings or recognise a browser. When you use the dark-mode switch, we save your chosen appearance on this device for up to 180 days. Light mode is the default. Your cookie choice is also saved for up to 180 days. These preferences are not used for advertising. With analytics consent, Google Analytics can also set _ga and _ga_<stream identifier> cookies to distinguish browsers and maintain visit/session information. We configure these analytics cookies to expire after up to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit; your browser may remove them sooner. Clearing browser storage resets saved preferences.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits and actions such as copying a support report or following an affiliate link. With your analytics consent, it may receive page addresses, visit times, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie-based identifiers. Google receives the connection information needed to load its service, including your IP address; GA4 says it does not log or store individual IP addresses.
We do not send utility inputs, results, Wi-Fi passwords, contact-card details, file names, file contents, logo images, domain query values, report contents, copied IP values, full user-agent strings or displayed location/provider values as custom event fields. Optional analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. If you choose Essential only, the site does not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics requests. Before the tag loads, unused address-bar query parameters and unrecognised fragments are removed, form destinations are fixed to the page’s canonical path, and referrers are reduced to the referring site’s origin. Registry links use approved generic lookup pages. This prevents tool values appearing in automatic event URLs; query-based campaign attribution is consequently not collected. Enhanced measurement can record scrolling, clicks on public external links, clicks on published document downloads, and form activity such as fixed field identifiers and button labels. Form and tool contents are excluded. Uploaded filenames are not sent; generated downloads use generic filenames. Video engagement or site-search events apply only where an eligible feature exists. Google advertising signals, advertising personalisation and user-provided-data collection are separate features and are not enabled by this implementation. See Google Analytics privacy controls and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Planned Google advertising · currently inactive
We plan to use Google AdSense to display advertisements that help fund the site. If enabled, Google and any ad partners identified in the consent message may use cookies, local storage, pixels or web beacons for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, with the required consent, personalisation. Information may include IP addresses, device/browser information, page visits, ad interactions and advertising identifiers.
Advertising cookies can let Google and its partners select ads based on visits to this and other websites. We will seek consent for non-essential advertising storage and personalised advertising before using them. Declining personalisation does not automatically mean that no information is processed: contextual ads can still involve measurement or security processing, subject to the applicable settings and consent requirements.
You can also manage Google’s ad personalisation through My Ad Center. See Google’s advertising information. The consent message will identify the actual ad partners and link to their policies before they are introduced.
Possible Google Ads measurement
If we later use Google Ads campaigns, conversion measurement or remarketing, we will identify those features here before enabling their tags. They may connect an ad interaction with a later visit or action, or use previous visits to personalise advertising, depending on your choices. These features are not currently enabled. Analytics permission alone is not permission for advertising tracking.
Managing your choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer to review or withdraw optional choices when the relevant services are enabled. You can use the checker without accepting optional analytics or advertising tracking. Withdrawing consent stops future optional processing covered by that choice; it does not automatically erase information already processed. You can also manage cookies through your browser, although clearing preferences may cause the consent message to appear again.
Affiliate links
Some links are labelled as affiliate advertising. Clicking one takes you to another company’s site, which handles your information under its own policies and may use referral tracking. No referral is sent just by generating your support report.
NordVPN is an affiliate partner. We may earn a commission if you buy through a labelled referral link. Amazon affiliate links are identified beside recommendations. Some use Geniuslink to redirect you to a regional shop; Geniuslink and the destination retailer handle information and referral tracking under their own policies after you follow a link.

Why information is used
We rely on our legitimate interests in providing and protecting this service for essential connection information and responding to enquiries. Optional analytics and non-essential advertising tracking rely on your consent, which you can withdraw using Cookie settings. Remembering a display preference you select allows us to provide that requested setting.
Storage and retention
We do not maintain a database of support reports. The proposed hosting configuration does not enable per-visit access logs. Technical function diagnostics are retained for 14 days. Optional analytics event data, if enabled, will be configured with a two-month retention period. The analytics cookie lifetime described above is separate from server-side event-data retention. Google’s standard aggregated reports may be retained beyond the event-data retention period. Advertising cookie details and actual ad partners will be identified before advertising is activated. Google and affiliate providers retain information under their own policies. We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to respond, resolve the matter and meet relevant administrative or legal obligations.
Service providers
AWS and Google operate international services and may process information outside the UK. Before optional services are introduced, we will confirm the applicable data-processing terms and safeguards for any international transfers. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Affiliate providers handle their own information after you follow their links.
Your choices and rights
You can use the checker without optional analytics. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. Contact us about your information or a privacy concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
