What Am I Using?

Free SEO site scanner

Find useful on-page improvements. Check titles, descriptions, headings and indexing instructions, with practical next steps.

One public page, checked on request. The address is sent to our server; page scripts are never run. How website checks use data.

Enter a public page without query parameters. Do not enter private, password-protected or confidential links.

The two tools share one allowance, resetting at midnight UTC. Failed attempts can use a check. Shared networks share the allowance; cached reports do not use a fresh check. A site-wide limit also protects this free service.

What does a free SEO site scan check?

Enter a public page to review its title, meta description, headings, canonical URL, language, mobile viewport, image alt attributes, social metadata and JSON-LD. The scanner also reads indexing instructions and reports the HTTP response and observed response timing. Every section of this report is free.

How does the red, amber or green SEO score work?

The score summarises eight weighted HTML checks: title, description, main heading, language, viewport, image alt attributes, indexing instructions and HTTPS. The report shows the points and priorities. A complete successful response is required; a partial read or blocked response does not get a misleading score. Optional social profiles, Open Graph and structured data do not earn ranking points.

Does a good report mean my website will rank?

No. These checks help find issues worth investigating; they are not a Google ranking score. A title can be present but unhelpful, a page can intentionally use noindex, and empty alt text can be correct for a decorative image. Useful content, relevance, reputation and the visitor’s experience still need human judgement.

Can I check loading speed and Core Web Vitals?

Our timing is a single server-side observation of a bounded HTML request. It excludes rendering, images and script execution. The report links directly to Google PageSpeed Insights for a separate browser performance analysis. Field data may be unavailable for smaller sites; a lab result is not the same as real-user Core Web Vitals.

Can I check Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube links?

The report recognises profile links in the page and its structured data, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and other common platforms. It excludes ordinary sharing buttons and individual YouTube videos. These are links found on the submitted page; their ownership, activity and audience are not verified, and absent links do not prove an account does not exist.

What about backlinks, traffic and off-site SEO?

Backlink indexes and traffic estimates depend on external datasets. We do not invent these numbers or describe outgoing links as backlinks. Search Console gives verified site owners actual Google search-performance data. You can combine it with this report to prioritise useful improvements without buying another API subscription.

Is this a whole-site SEO audit?

No. Each check reads one page and its crawl instructions, with strict size and time limits. Other pages, broken link destinations, JavaScript-rendered content and authenticated areas are not crawled. Large pages are marked as incomplete so missing information is not presented as a definite failure. For hosting and visible technology details, use the website inspector.

What should I fix first?

Start with accidental indexing blocks and failed responses. Then make the page’s purpose clear in its title, heading and content. Add helpful descriptions and accessible images where appropriate, and test the actual mobile experience. A useful page beats chasing a cosmetic score.
