New tools, useful improvements and fixes across What Am I Using? Follow the collection as it grows.
Small improvements add up. Here is what changed in each version, with the newest first.
Version 1.1.2
Clearer speed-test results and support reports
- Available speed readings can now be included in support reports even when a test stops early. Partial estimates are clearly labelled, with missing measurements left unavailable.
- Separated speed-test sharing from the public-IP checkbox, so you can share speed readings while keeping IP addresses private.
- Added a Use in support report button on the dedicated speed page to bring readings into the browser checker.
- Clarified test-service interruptions and stopped automatic measurement retries when a request is refused.
Version 1.1.1
Speed-test fixes and a cleaner IP display
- Fixed a speed-test failure that could stop the test before upload measurements appeared. Test transfers remain direct to Cloudflare and within the same data allowance.
- Added a dedicated Internet Speed Test page with a larger result display, network animation, copyable results and help explaining the measurements.
- Added a longer speed-test option with more samples and a clearly stated allowance of up to 200 MB. The quick test remains the default at up to 80 MB.
- Simplified the public IP card so it shows the available addresses without an extra message when only one is found.
- Added optional Switched On Network video guides for Ethernet plugs, patch cables and wall jacks. Videos connect to YouTube only after you choose to load them.
- Made the More tools menu easier to scan with individual tool icons and larger names on mobile.
Version 1.1.0
More ways to check your connection, picture and sound
- Added a webcam and microphone checker with a live picture, microphone level meter and optional five-second audio playback. Camera and audio are processed on your device.
- Added an optional internet speed test to the main checker, showing download, upload, latency and jitter. It starts only when you choose, with test traffic going directly to Cloudflare.
- Added a connection stability monitor with a live response-time graph, jitter, missed checks and a local report. Its optional Signal Hop game features clean-energy obstacles.
- Added an on-device download time calculator for file sizes, speed units and adjustable transfer efficiency.
- The connection checker can show both public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses when both are reachable from your browser.
- Added an overview map for the estimated area, styled to match light and dark mode. It uses no GPS and does not show an exact location.
- Added this release history so you can follow new tools, improvements and fixes.
- Support reports include both verified public IP addresses, the registered ISP and completed speed-test measurements when you choose to include network details.
Version 1.0.4
Easier cube scanning and clearer help
- Improved the cube camera scanner layout so its Start and capture controls are easier to reach.
- Added optional automatic capture when a face is lined up and held steady. You still check and confirm the detected colours before using them.
- Clarified the privacy information and added suggestions for helpdesks and support teams sharing the browser checker.
Version 1.0.3
Scan your cube with your camera
- Introduced guided camera input for the cube solver, with a photograph and editable colour grid to review each face. Images stay on your device.
- Added a full-screen Calculating notice with elapsed time and a Cancel button while the solver works.
- Added camera preview mirroring, a larger cube view on phones and optional inverted view controls.
Version 1.0.2
A friendlier cube solver for beginners
- Made the cube workflow clearer: copy your cube’s six faces, check the model, then follow your own solution.
- Added drag-to-rotate viewing and animated quarter-turn corrections for entered faces.
- Brought the animated cube, move explanation and playback buttons together on narrow screens.
- Updated the QR generator example address and separated the cube and beep-test FAQ categories.
Version 1.0.1
The first public release
- Launched the rebuilt browser, device and connection checker, with optional network details in a timestamped support report.
- Brought the existing utilities together with a styled QR code generator, text and date tools, domain lookups and random-number tools.
- Added the customisable beep test and an animated 2×2–9×9 cube solver.
- Included technical support guides, grouped FAQs, light and dark mode, and sharing and favourites controls.
